The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Honorees from Arkansas

I'd like to introduce you to the Honorees from Arkansas for The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.  The program also chooses anywhere from 2 to 10 runners up in each state.  They are named Distinguished Finalists and receive a bronze medallion. I will be listing them as well underneath the Honorees.
I will give a short description of what the Honoree has been nominated for and then you can click on their name to find out more!

The two state Honorees are:

Alexandria is in eighth grade.  She puts together "birthday bags" and gives them to local food pantries and shelters so that families can still celebrate birthdays with their children

and

Joseph McCollum

Joseph is a junior.  He spends over 50hrs a week every summer volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club meal program.  He even helped open four more sites to help reach hungry children.

The Distinguished Finalists are:

Shawnee Clark-enhancing community resources
Mattie Thacker-feeding the hungry
Raygan Sylvester-helped implement seat belt safety program
Joshua Shaw-protecting the environment

Let's hear it for these amazing kids and the wonderful things they are doing!
