I'd like to introduce you to the Honorees from Connecticut for The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. The program also chooses anywhere from 2 to 10 runners up in each state. They are named Distinguished Finalists and receive a bronze medallion. I will be listing them as well underneath the Honorees.
I will give a short description of what the Honoree has been nominated for and then you can click on their name to find out more!
The two state Honorees are:
Sanam is a senior. She has helped raise money for Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and has helped start an annual jump rope fundraiser at her school to also donate money to the camp.
and
Patrick is in eighth grade. His "forget Me Not Pennies 9/11 Memorial Fund" has raised over $1,200 to purchase two cobblestones and a granite paver on behalf of his town at the National 9/11 Memorial in New York.
The Distinguished Finalists are:
Katrina McGlynn-aiding the disadvantaged
Alison Centorino-helping and comforting the sick
Emily Dzialo-helping and comforting the sick
Rebecca Lazarus-promoting tolerance or diversity
