I'd like to introduce you to the Honorees from Missouri for The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. The program also chooses anywhere from 2 to 10 runners up in each state. They are named Distinguished Finalists and receive a bronze medallion. I will be listing them as well underneath the Honorees.
I will give a short description of what the Honoree has been nominated for and then you can click on their name to find out more!
Here are the State Honorees:
Kelby is a senior. She created a program that helped students create their own fundraisers. This led to over $10,000 being raised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.
and
Taylor is in seventh grade. When she was told that she was too young to volunteer at a local hospital she created "Game Night for Charity". An event where other kids donate money to play board games, and the winner at the end of the night gets to choose where the donation goes.
And the Distinguished Finalists:
Madison Howard-enhancing community resources
Edward Tooley-feeding the hungry
Shelbie Kirkendoll-helping and comforting the sick
Jessie Fowler-spreading the spirit of volunteerism
Kayla Schrimshaw-spreading the spirit of volunteerism
Olivia Gammill-taking care of animals
Let's hear it for these wonderful kids!
